More About My Journey…

I have been a foodie since I was young and have always been interested in health and wellness. Food was always at the root of my decision to pursue nutrition; however, once I learned about the intricacies of how foods can play such a central role to a healthy body I continued my studies for roughly ten years. After pursuing a Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate in nutrition, I have become an expert in how to use “functional foods” (aka foods with a specific function in the body) for all different types of health goals.

Having a history of mental health diagnoses and addiction in my family, I have always been interested in how nutrition and functional foods play a role in mood, brain health, and addiction. After becoming sober in June of 2021 and publishing a chapter on nutrition in a text book on Complementary and Integrative Approaches to Substance Use Disorders, I focused my expertise on using nutrition and functional medicine to support changing your relationship with alcohol.

Whether you are sober, sober-curious, or just looking to make some tweaks to your alcohol use behaviors, I know this information can transform your journey. We’ll use nutrition, food, supplements and other health practices to support mood and mental health, digestion, weight management, energy, and so much more. Let’s see what my cutting-edge Functional Sobriety approach can do for you!
