How It ALL began
I'm Dr. Brooke Scheller — part clinical nutrition nerd, part strategist, and am endlessly curious about what actually makes people (and the brands that serve them) feel better. My path has taken me from directing nutrition at a national meal delivery brand, to writing a book on drinking less, to helping food and health-tech companies build smarter products. Wherever I land, I'm asking the same question: does this actually work in real life?
I started my career the traditional way: clinic hours, patient charts, case notes. I kept noticing the same gap everywhere I looked: nutrition advice that sounded right in theory and fell apart the moment real life got involved. That question followed me into the boardroom, where I spent years directing nutrition strategy at Freshly through its acquisition by Nestlé, and advising brands like CookUnity and Olipop on what actually belongs on a menu, a label, or a plate. It followed me into the classroom too, where I taught graduate students at Drexel University.
But the work that changed me most personally was writing How to Eat to Change How You Drink and building Functional Sobriety™ — an approach for people ready to change their relationship with alcohol, not through willpower, but through biology.
That's where I learned firsthand what it actually takes to help someone build a new habit that sticks: not more discipline, just better design.
How I work now...
Today my work splits two ways, and honestly, I think that's a feature, not a tension. I coach people, one-on-one and in small groups, through The Plan — a 10-week program built on everything I've learned about cravings, mood, and the biology underneath both. And I advise founders and brands in food, beverage, and health-tech on turning that same science into products, menus, and strategy people can actually trust.
Credentials, for the Record.
I'm a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition and Board Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS). I've published in peer-reviewed case reports, written books (and book chapters), and spoken at CME-accredited events nationally. I also am a Certified Functional Psychiatry Provider through Psychiatry Redefined. My work's been featured in Oprah Daily, Forbes, Well+Good, mindbodygreen, WebMD, and Women's Health and I've been honored to be a guest on over 100+ podcasts.
Just for fun...
I'm an east coast gal at heart, born and raised at the Jersey Shore. After spending many years enjoying the great eats and sleepless nights in NYC, I took a leap to get sober and slow things down. I now live a more peaceful, healing life in Central California and enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog (Pearl), reading the newest personal development books, and painting (a la Bob Ross). I absolutely love learning — so you can often find me taking a workshop, practicing a new skill, and honing in new tools for managing my ADHD.
